Ein Solo vom Saxophon begleitet vom Piano, das Publikum verfolgt fasziniert den Dialog der beiden Jazzer, musikalisch verschmelzen die beiden Instrumente, das Sax tritt hervor und brilliert mit seinen Improvisationen. Die Performance von den beiden Jazz-Profis Ondřej Štveráček (Sax) und der Ondrej Krajňák (Piano) habe ich hier versucht einzufangen und darzustellen – das Saxophon deutlich im Vordergrund, das Piano im Hintergrund, aber dennoch unübersehbar und wichtig für das Bild. Die Stimmung in der Jazz-Schmiede in Düsseldorf ist immer wunderbar, eine Mischung aus Kneipe und Konzertsaal, die Zuhörer eher etwas älter und meist geniesserisch schwelgend. Die Lockerheit ermöglichte es mir mich frei zu bewegen und die passenden Perspektiven zu suchen. Vom gleichen Konzert stammt auch die Aufname des Trompeters Ryan Carniaux. Vielen Dank an Ruhrjazz, für die ich als Pressephotograph arbeiten durfte.

A solo from sax comped by the piano, the audience is following fascinated the dialogue of the two jazz musicians, the instruments are merging together, the sax ermerges and is scintillating with its improvisations. I tried to capture and show the performance of the two jazz profis Ondřej Štveráček (sax) und der Ondrej Krajňák (piano) – the sax obiously in the foreground, the piano in the background but conspicuous for the picture. The mood in the Jazz-Schmiede in Düsseldorf is almost beautiful, a mixture of pub and concert hall, the audience a bit older and appreciative indulging. The sleaziness made me free walking around and finding the right point of view. The picture of the trumpeter Ryan Carniaux is from the same session.
